JIM - a very close, precious and inspirational friend.  Jim's stoicism, humour and presence were an example to many, and a guiding light for me during some dark times. He was one of my few living Heroes.
 
Whilst being frustratingly restricted in so many ways Jim achieved so much, so often. Always immaculate, smiling and charming he was aided by his awe-inspiring Linda, to whom my heart goes out.
 
Memories of chats and phone calls that ranged from the serious, profound and thought provoking to the funny, ridiculous, frivolous and involving many laughs and chuckles; these are sorely missed.
 
A talented artist, brilliant raconteur, eloquent word-smith and a totally engaging character Jim was the complete collaborator for any and all occasions.
 
In true style Jim fought to the last, this time the odds were overwhelming but he didn't give up easily.
 
Let's all keep smiling, I am sure it's what Jim would want us to do.
